Telehealth/Online Individual Therapy

What Is Telehealth/Online Therapy And Does It Work?

The psychological treatment I provide online is the same as in-person, but you have the flexibility of having your sessions with me via video, audio (video with camera turned off), phone (regular phone call), or instant messaging. Research shows that online psychological treatment is equally as effective as in-person. Many of my clients prefer to have online sessions with me for its convenience and privacy - they are able to have sessions in the comfort of their home or any preferred location. Whether you are in Australia, or around the world, you can access my services online if you: - Have a computer device equipped with a camera and microphone - Have a stable internet connection - Speak English.

How Does Online Therapy Work?

  1. Please send me your availability via email or by filling out my contact form. If you have a referral from a GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician, please let me know.

  2. I will usually respond to you within 24-48 hours to organise your first session with me.

  3. Alternatively, you may wish to book a session directly online:

  4. Before your session, I will send you an email with information about your upcoming session, including a link to click on at the time of your session (for video and audio sessions only).

  5. At the time of your session, all you have to do is click on the link provided in the email, and then click on 'Ask to Join'. Please then wait for me to let you in and begin our session. For a phone session, I will call you on your nominated phone number at the time of your session. If you have requested a text messaging session, I will send you a message on a mutually agreed upon secure, messaging platform at the time of your session in order to begin.

  6. I will send you a reminder about your session 48 hours prior. Please see my Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy for important information about cancelling/rescheduling/or not attending your session.

Session Fee & Medicare

Fee and rebate information is outlined in detail on my Fees page. If you are in Australia with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for your sessions. I can provide more details on this process during our initial consultation.

Taking the first step can feel big, but it's the start of a profound journey towards healing and growth. I'm here to support you every step of the way. If you're ready to explore how therapy can benefit you, please don't hesitate to contact me for an initial chat or to book your first session.
