Session Fee​

For 2025, the Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends that a Clinical Psychologist charges a fee of $311 AUD for a standard 46-60 minute session.

• My fee for 2025 for a 50-minute session depends on a few factors (e.g., whether it's an after hours appointment time, which therapeutic approach you're interested in) and falls between $240-280 AUD (~$156-$180 USD).

Medicare Rebates (Australian Clients)​

​​​​​

• If you have a valid medicare card and a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP, or a referral from a psychiatrist/paediatrician, you will be eligible for Medicare rebates.

• The current Medicare rebate is $145.25 AUD per 50-minute session with a Clinical Psychologist.

• You can receive rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

• Your final out-of-pocket expense after receiving the rebate will be between $94.75-$134.75 AUD per session.

• Claiming process:

  • Once you pay the full session fee, I will provide you with an invoice.

  • You login to the Express Plus Medicare app, select 'make a claim', and complete the form as prompted.

• • If you have entered all the details correctly, Medicare will typically refund the rebate amount into your nominated bank account within 1-2 business days.

Private Health Insurance

​

If you have private health insurance cover, you may be able to claim a refund for part or all of your session fee. Please contact your health insurance fund prior to booking your session to find out what you may be covered for.

Financial Considerations

For exceptional financial circumstances, I will consider a reduced session fee or Medicare bulk billing (for Australian clients). Please contact me to discuss your financial circumstances.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy​

​

• If you wish to cancel or reschedule a booked session, please provide at least 48 hours notice. There are often others waiting for an appointment to become available and it will give me enough time to offer the appointment slot to them. 

• The full session fee will be charged for a late cancellation (less than 48 hours notice provided to cancel/reschedule a booked session) or non-attendance.
